Out of the mouths of babes.

The 19-year-old duo, Kyle Wyss and Orhan Chettri, hailing from St. Petersburg, Florida have graced us with the psychedelic and experimental band "Blind Man’s Colour".  The album that has redefined creative sound "Seasons Dreaming", is taking the music scene by its reigns and riding the wave of true talent and vision.  Receiving recognition from mainstream music icon Kanye West and touring with a dedicated cult following, Blind Man's Colour is using collected sound samples and fuzzy vocals to create a wave of liquid music.

Blind Man's Colour has converted sensory perception in every form to a tangible sound.  Each song is filled with blurry subconscious vibrance.  It'll delightfully and magnetically transport you to instant meditation.  Original, elegantly executed vibrations of genre shattering invocation provide outlet and serenity, song after song.

Paying homage to an eden-like state, when possibilities were endless and the universe was at our fingertips.  Blind Man's Colour could not be a more appropriate title. For if a man could not see, every feeling that would illuminate the thoughts in his mind could be generated by this music.

In early 2009 Blind Man’s Colour suddenly found themselves the subject of tastemakers attention. Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste said, “You guys must hear these guys, love it!” via Twitter.  Kanye West blogged about the band in an entry entitled “Some Dope Shit For My Apartment.” And so too, Kanine Records (Chairlift, Grizzly Bear) found, fell in love with and set to release Blind Man’s Colour debut album Season Dreaming on August 18, 2009.

Blind Man’s Colour is the psychedelic brainchild of 19-year-olds Kyle Wyss and Orhan Chettri, hailing from St. Petersburg, FL.

Having emigrated to the Sunshine State from Washington DC at age 12, Orhan met Kyle during a 7th grade lunch period and began to collaborate on musical projects almost immediately.  Spending their early teen years playing in various psychedelia-influenced and electronic projects, (“Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin stuff,” they attest), their sound evolved into a very diverse range of organic folk, psych-drone, desert-rock and electronic ambiance.  With the help of friend Sheridan Willard, the three spent senior year of high school recording experimental pop tracks in each other’s bedrooms, laying the groundwork for Season Dreaming.

bmcBlind Man’s Colour, a Experimental / Psychedelic / Ambient band hailing from St. Petersburg, Florida, rose from relative obscurity to a band to look out for in 2009 after a simple promo post on Kanye West’s blog.

The band’s sound, according to Indie Rock Cafe, can best be described as dreamy, trippy, chorus laden and synthesized electro pop with obvious influences from Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys and Animal Collective.

Blind Man’s Colour consists of Kyle Wyss and Orhan Chettri, who began playing together since they were both in the 8th grade.  The two have released a number of self-produced mixes of their music over the years, but have yet to make an official release — which, by the way, is currently in the works.  You can, however, download their 4 song EP titled The Rainbow Faces on their blog here.
