If you have survived your summer festivals and are up to some fall excitement, I have put together a list of some favorite fall festivals you may want to check out. The fall festival line up includes indoor and outdoor festivals. They're perfect for anyone — whether you wanna party in New York City or get down at the Red Rocks in Colorado. Cooler weather aside, these fall festivals are sure to satisfy, and a long cold festivaless winter is on its way. Who doesn't love hoodie weather anyway?

 

Break your piggy banks, get your tickets and use up the last of this year's vacation time. The party's not over yet, and festie goers never say die.

This event will be held at Kutshers Country Club, Monticello, New York in September 2009. It will follow the same format as 2008's event with Friday featuring Don't Look Back sets and a comedy curated stage. Saturday will be once again curated by ATP and Sunday will be curated by guests The Flaming Lips. Criterion will once again host the cinema. Tickets for the festival and rooms at Kutshers are currently on sale from the ATP website. Limited day tickets are also on sale.

Where: The Monolith Festival is a music festival held at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado

When: September 12th and 13th of 2009

 

 

The Red Rocks Amphitheatre will once again transform into the center of the live music universe for a weekend with “MONOLITH”, the largest music festival to grace the grounds of the "Best Live Music Venue in North America" (Pollstar). The 2009 MONOLITH Festival will feature over 50 performing artists and five stages The first festival took place September 14-15, 2007 on 5 stages, including the Red Rocks main stage.

Where: Tempe Beach Park Beach Park in Tempe, AZ.

When: September 18-20th 2009

 

 

ARIZONA FALL FRENZY will be a 3 day event along the Tempe Beach Waterfront. The festival features some of today’s hottest recording artists. Accompanying the wide variety of musical acts will be water slides, a Ferris Wheel, arts and crafts booths, a gaming center, food vendors, beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and much more. This will be a weekend for both local Arizonians and out-of-state visitors alike to come enjoy.

Where: Portland Oregon

When: September 16-20th 2009

 

 

Initially, the festival set out to showcase mainly the talent of the Pacific Northwest. In 2006 the direction shifted a bit to include a larger presence of national acts. This proved to be a good move as festival attendance doubled from the previous year. MFNW 2009 will once again feature a great mix of acts, including local bands playing alongside nationally and internationally renowned bands. As a festival go-er you will get to see a little bit of everything.

The Austin City Limits Music Festival is an annual three-day music festival in Austin, Texas's Zilker Park. The Festival brings together more than 130 bands on eight stages, including rock, country, folk, indie, Americana, hip-hop, reggae, and bluegrass, and attracts a crowd of about 65,000 visitors each day. Named after the legendary PBS concert series, the festival is produced by C3 Presents, who also co-produce the Lollapalooza and Big State festivals.
