Description: Rothbury 2009 almost didn't happen due to some disputes about the property but it eventually all worked out. This huge multi-day festival brings in major acts to the midwest and Rothbury 2010 will surely be another big one… As long as it happens of course.

Pitchfork Music Festival

The Pitchfork Music Festival is a three-day event showcasing over 40 of independent music’s best bands and artists on three stages. With so many blockbuster festivals gouging their attendees out of absolutely obscene sums of money, only to confine them in uncomfortable, tight spaces and skimp on basic necessities, our goal is to do the right thing: That is, to create a reasonably priced summer music festival that provides an overwhelmingly positive, comfortable and fun festival experience for both attendees and musicians.

Description: The popular music blog (pitchfork.com) decided that their influence on music was so strong that might as well throw their own festival. They were right and their festival kicks as much ass as their website. Pitchfork Music Festival 2010 will be the 5th go around in Chitown.

10,000 Lakes Festival

The 10,000 Lakes Festival (abbreviated as 10KLF) is an annual four-day music festival in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, at the Soo Pass Ranch. Lollapalooza has featured a diverse range of bands and has helped expose and popularize alternative rock groups such as Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, Jane's Addiction, The Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hole, MGMT, and Green Day Conceived and created in 1991 by Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell as a farewell tour for his band, Lollapalooza ran annually until 1997, and was revived in 2003. From its inception through 1997, and its revival in 2003, the festival toured North America. In 2004, the festival organizers decided to expand the dates to two days per city, however poor ticket sales forced the 2004 tour to be cancelled.[1] In 2005, Farrell and the William Morris Agency partnered up with Austin, Texas-based company Capital Sports Entertainment (now C3 Presents) and retooled it into its current format as a weekend destination festival at Petrillo Music Shell and other areas in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois.
